Syracuse Fashion Week presents Syracuse Style with 11 local designers displaying fall collections

Local designers’ bright dresses and elaborate designs filled the concrete halls of the Everson Museum when Syracuse Style arrived to the runway on Friday, Sept. 18. The semiannual event was held at the museum’s Sculpture Court and benefited the Food Bank of Central New York. Eleven designers’ fall collections were featured, including Maison Marielle Sheree, Stiletto Love Boutique, Michelle Darin, Homer Couture, House of Hili and Queen Ri’s Boutique.

Fashion enthusiasts filled the crowd, watching as 80 models strutted the runway in notable pieces such as a dress made of stuffed animals designed by Kathleen O’Dell. The show also included a major announcement: Lisa Marie Butler, Syracuse Fashion Week executive director and founder, is stepping down. Butler, who founded Syracuse Fashion Week in 2014, will be replaced by Zoë Charli Francemone, who will take over the organization’s leadership. As Francemone prepares to take the reins, the fall show proved that Syracuse Fashion Week’s philanthropic and creative legacy will continue.
