The first day of the collaboration draws more than 200 students to the Campus Store in the Schine Center.

Syracuse University’s new campus store, run by Barnes & Noble, has expanded its clothing options with a new collection featuring a famous athleisure company.
As of Thursday, customers who walked into the Schine Student Center’s Campus Store would discover the new Syracuse University X Lululemon merchandise display near the shop’s men’s section.
More than 200 students — including some who lined up 2 hours before the store opened — waited outside the Campus Store on Thursday morning.
Throughout the day, moving boxes and hangers were left empty behind the register while employees were hanging up more stock for students to come into the store and grab their favorites.
Popular items that quickly ran out and were restocked included the Define jacket, Scuba oversized half-zip hoodie and Racerback tank top.
Similar campus collabs have taken place at schools like the University of Michigan and Penn State University. Prices at the two colleges ranged between $20-$180. Syracuse’s drop had prices ranging from $50-$160.
Syracuse’s collaboration is only available at the Schine Student Center, compared to the other two drops that eventually were available online.
Freshmen Lauren Murtha and Reagan Whitney were in line around 6:30 a.m. to be a part of the first 100 people to purchase an item from the store to receive a free belt bag, which is usually priced around $54.95.
Murtha has been a Lululemon fan since high school so the collaboration with her new university was particularly thrilling.
“Oh my gosh, I was so excited,” Murtha said.
With the collaboration, Murtha wanted to get her hands on a Syracuse version of the famous Scuba jacket. On campus, it is sold for $154.98.
“I really want to get another Scuba,” Murtha said, even mentioning getting one for her mother, “I’ll get her one.”
After discovering she had lost her only belt bag, Whitney was all in when she heard about the chance to get a free one.
“Getting this would be really nice,” Whitney said.
Whitney said she first started wearing Lululemon in high school because her friends were buying clothes from there.
“My mom was like, well, let’s just go and see what it is,” Whitney said. “And then I started buying them.”
The collab will continue to run at the campus store, and the new merch will eventually be brought to the online store.
