Emo’s L.S. Dunes electrifies Buffalo
Review: Members of Circa Survive, My Chemical Romance, Coheed and Cambria and Thursday serve up a show that is painfully human.

Buffaloâs Electric City pulsed with excitement Monday night as L.S. Dunes took the stage in celebration of their newest album Violet. The supergroup â made up of members from legendary emo bands Circa Survive, My Chemical Romance, Coheed and Cambria and Thursday â opened the show with new hits âLike Magickâ and âFatal Deluxe.â
Vocalist Anthony Green commanded the crowd with his trademark intensity and showmanship. From the first note, Green had the crowd singing every lyric with raw emotion. Fans were not disappointed as the band of seasoned musicians gave powerful performances of their popular songs âPast Lives,â âPermanent Rebellionâ and â2022.âÂ

Joining them on tour was shoegaze band From Indian Lakes, bringing their ethereal indie and alternative rock sound to the stage. Fans were treated to a setlist that included performances of âNo One Else,â âThe Flowâ and âDissonance.â
Night Sins served as the night’s other opener, setting the pace of the night with their hits âHollowedâ and âTo London Or The Lake.â
L.S. Dunesâ sound was raw and energetic, and their message â like the best of all emo â was painfully human. For all of the fans who packed into Electric City, it wasnât just a concert. It was a shared release with familiar faces.
